The Presence of Swiss Ambassador's Counselor at the Leading House for Iran-Switzerland Academic Partnerships

On Monday’s meeting held in 16 September 2019, Ms. Chantal Delli, the Swiss Ambassador’s Counselor, and Dr. Naghmeh Maraji, Head of the Leading House for Iran- Switzerland Academic partnerships met each other and discussed the new Swiss scholarships and grants. Dr. Meraji mentioned her recent negotiations with Mr. Waseem Hussain, Head of the India Desk and the Leading House for South Asia and Iran about planning new co-funding grants such as Bridging. The Swiss Ambassador’s counselor added that by considering the previous experience of the seed money grant which was a co-funding grant, the next joint cooperation for co-funding grants could be more coherent.
Dr. Meraji also pleased with increasing amount of scientific, educational and research collaboration of Iranian professors of medical universities with Swiss professors. Then she explained about some challenges and obstacles regarding making collaboration with Swiss Universities. Finally, Ms. Sepideh Javedanfard asked the Swiss Ambassador’s Counselor about some ambiguities that applicants may encounter for new 2020 scholarships and she explained them completely.
