Dr. Serge Brand from University of Basel in Switzerland was appointed as visiting professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS)

Dr. Serge Brand accompanied Dr. Dena Sadeghi, Researcher and student of post- doctorate who came to Iran to follow up their research with Iranian team and discuss about potential of collaborations with Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in the field of psychiatry, visited some parts of Ziayeean, Roozbeh and Sina hospitals. He then attended a meeting hosted by the Leading House for Iran-Switzerland Academic Partnerships and explained the high capacity of mutual collaborations. Moreover, he talked about his successful experience of previous collaborations with Iranians scientists since 2007.

Dr. Maraji, the director of the Leading House for Iran-Switzerland Academic Partnerships, also suggested the exchange of professors and students and holding short term non-degree courses between two universities related departments. The Swiss professor, while confirming her remarks, welcomed these joint programs. The suggestion to run virtual courses through skype calls with TUMS Virtual school cooperation was also proposed by the participants.
