The Presence of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) Knowledge-based Company on Swiss Robotics Industry Day at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL)

Following the previous Memorandum of Understanding between Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), the Knowledge Based company of Sina Robotics Innovators and Medicine as one of the TUMS subsidiaries which is the manufacturer of the Sina Robotic Tele surgery attended a two-day conference at EPFL on March 20-21, 2019.

Dr. Ali Reza Mirbagheri, TUMS Assistant Professor of Physics and Medical Engineering department and the CEO of the said company delivered a lecture and introduced the background and future potential of cooperation between two universities. He also introduced the TUMS achievement in development of the Sina Robotic Surgery system at TUMS booth which was held beside the conference.

It is worth mentioning that this collaboration has been begun last year by admission of a Master student of medical robotics from the EPFL University for conducting his research project and passing his training course at TUMS and its knowledge based company and it is supposed that after that the Sina company host two master students from the mentioned university annually. In other words, through the framework of this partnership, EPFL students could complete their Master's thesis at TUMS and simultaneously could attend a six-months training course at the Sina Knowledge Based Company.
